My time at Berry Springs Farmstay was truly unforgettable. Although I’m not usually an early riser, I found myself waking up with the birds each morning to help with the farm’s daily tasks. From chasing ducks away from the pool to cleaning the verandah and watering the lawn, every day started with a sense of purpose. I loved spending time with the animals, especially feeding the donkeys and goats, and cutting fresh grass for them.
The work was varied and enjoyable, from landscaping and gardening to assisting with farm maintenance like fixing fences. I learned so much from the experienced caretakers, especially one who had spent years traveling across Australia with his wife in exchange for farm stays. Their knowledge and guidance made a big difference.
If you’re looking for a place to volunteer and connect with nature, Berry Springs Farmstay is the perfect spot. The work is rewarding, the setting is beautiful, and the sense of community is something I will never forget.
