Medical Care and Treatment Guidelines

The health and well-being of our animals are of utmost importance. To ensure their welfare and provide appropriate medical care and treatment, we adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Regular Health Checks:

    • Caretakers observe all animals twice daily to immediately see any changes. Such health checks are necessary to monitor their overall well-being and detect any potential health issues early on.

  2. Veterinary Care:

    • Owners work closely with qualified veterinarians to address any medical concerns or emergencies promptly.
    • Veterinary treatment is provided as necessary to ensure the animals receive the care they require.
    • The owner will inform you about upcoming veterinary appointments where you need to go and help as necessary.
    • Before any tests or treatment contact the owners to make sure they are informed.

  3. Vaccinations and Preventive Measures:

    • Ask the owner about any upcoming vaccination or worming so that all can be arranged in time.
    • All animals receive necessary vaccinations and preventive treatments to protect them from common diseases and parasites.

  4. Medication Administration:

    • Medications prescribed by veterinarians are administered to the animals as directed, ensuring proper dosage and frequency.
    • The medication needs to be stored in the fridge behind the house.

  5. Isolation and Quarantine:

    • Animals showing signs of illness or contagious conditions are promptly isolated and quarantined to prevent the spread of disease within the facility.

  6. Rehabilitation and Recovery:

    • Animals in need of rehabilitation or recovery receive specialized care and attention tailored to their specific needs, including physical therapy and rehabilitation exercises.

  7. Record Keeping:

    • Detailed records of each animal’s medical history, treatments, and progress are maintained to track their health status and ensure continuity of care.

  8. Emergency Preparedness:

    • We have protocols in place to address medical emergencies swiftly and effectively, including access to emergency veterinary services when needed.

  9. Training:

    • Caretakers need to be up to date with basic animal health care procedures and recognize signs of illness or distress in animals.

By following these guidelines, caretakers strive to provide the highest standard of medical care and treatment for the animals. Your commitment to their well-being is unwavering, and we appreciate your support in ensuring animals in your care lead healthy and happy lives.
