What to Bring to Berry Springs Farmstay
To make your stay at Berry Springs Farmstay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, here’s a list of essentials to pack:
Comfortable Clothing: Lightweight, breathable clothes are ideal for the tropical climate and outdoor activities. Be ready for farm tasks and exploring the beautiful surroundings!
Sturdy Footwear: Bring durable shoes or boots for walking around the farm and exploring nearby attractions safely. Waterproof shoes are a great option, especially for wet areas or when you’re helping with animal care or outdoor activities.
House Shoes: For comfort inside the house, pack a pair of house shoes or sandals to wear around the shared spaces.
Personal Care Items: Don’t forget your toiletries and personal hygiene essentials to stay fresh during your stay.
Sun Protection: Protect yourself from the sun with a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses while you enjoy the outdoors.
Insect Repellent: The tropical environment means insects are part of the experience. Be sure to bring insect repellent, especially for the evenings when bugs are more active.
Swimwear: Pack your swimwear to enjoy our 12-meter saltwater pool or take a refreshing dip in nearby water spots.
Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated during farm activities and while exploring. A reusable water bottle helps you stay cool and reduces waste.
Light Jacket: Even in the tropical climate, mornings and evenings can be cool, so bring a light jacket or sweater for added comfort.
Bedding, Pillow, Sleeping Bag: For an authentic farmstay experience, bring your own bedding, pillow, or sleeping bag for a restful night’s sleep.
Food: Bring enough food to store in our community fridge, and feel free to order online from Woolworths for easy delivery.
Headlamp/Flashlight: It’s helpful to have a headlamp or flashlight for evening farm chores or exploring after dark, especially in areas without streetlights.
Food Container: A food container will come in handy for storing your meals and snacks, keeping them fresh and organized.
- Food for a week: If you are just working 3 hours/day you will need to bring your own supplies. If you get approved to help for 5 hours/day still bring your own food for the first week. After acclimatizing which could take a week you are welcome to work for 5 hours/day and get a food voucher.
